Excellent turnout at the Hanson Ranch in Box Elder, Montana for the inaugural Heart of the Hi-Line Commercial Female Sale, exclusively featuring genetics from PGC, Whistling Winds and Shipwheel Cattle Co. The sale featured over 850 head of bred and replacement females, including the dispersion of 406 Cattle Company cows (Joe & Ella Jurenka) and Shipwheel’s dispersion of all bred heifers out of their Jorgenson herd. Interest on the AI bred cattle was very good, with the front-end AI heifers topping the market at $2,875. Bred cows calving in March and April were fully steady with markets we have seen across the state over the past three weeks.
